Sidenote to Last Post

I know in my last post I said that we never buy from pet stores, but my friend Mary made a good point about an exception: If the pet store (or farm supply store or whatever type of store) has guinea pigs that are in bad shape, of course it would be a good idea to get them out of there if possible. I've personally never had that happen, but I know other people who rescued guinea pigs from that type of situation.

  1. I dont visit too many pet stores anymore. Usually just petsmart, which sells males only. I dont like that they sell, but they often have what I need, and waiting for stuff to come in the mail sucks.

With that one pig we got though, we were referred to the store to get her, so I had to. Poor thing, and she lived with us 3 weeks before she died, from the pregnancy I assume, it was back to back and she was huge. Atleast she enjoyed some of her life.

  2. If they have animals which are not being properly cared for, it makes more sense to me to report them for animal cruelty!
